Phobias & Fears

Human beings appear to have the capacity to develop a fear or phobia of almost anything. The more common ones are flying, public speaking, spiders, snakes, open spaces, confined spaces, heights, crossing bridges, dentists, rats, cats, dogs, birds, vomiting, blushing, social situations and many many others. Hypnopuncture can work wonders with phobias and fears, and as few as 2 or 3 sessions can help a client release a phobia or fear completely.

Some fears are rational and may be connected to a particular memory which caused the fear. For example a patient who has a fear of riding horses because she had a nasty fall when riding. Other fears are not rational at all and these we call phobias (from the Greek "Phobos" meaning Fear). A phobia is defined as a persistent, abnormal and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous. Phobias often have their origins in childhood and the client may have little or no memory of how they started. With Hypnopuncture we are able to not only help release the original cause of the phobia but also to create new positive feelings towards whatever the phobia is of.
